Red Sussex? & mystery breed

Got chicks from TSC in a bin labeled "speckled sussex & red Sussex" the speckled seem to be true but the red I'm not so sure. I've seen a couple pictures of red Sussex chicks and they have white heads. Google doesn't seem to be bringing lots of images of red Sussex chicks only chickens. I have pictures of the red Sussex with a mystery breed. The red Sussex I believe are the darker chicks while the lighter ones are my mystery breed. Mystery breed was in a bin labeled straight runs and had all different kinds in it.

Red Sussex are very, very rare and I doubt they would have the real thing at TSC. One way to check is leg color. If their legs are yellow then they aren't Sussex, which should have white or pinkish white legs.

Definitely yellow legs. I was wondering why it was so hard to find pictures of a red Sussex chick! Now we know. Any guess on what breed they might actually be?

Not sure, they could be production reds, Rhode Island reds, Buckeyes if they have pea combs. It'll be a lot easier to tell when they feather out.
