I am seeking a loving new home for our family’s beloved pet rabbit, Marjoram (also affectionately known as Marjie, “Large and in Charge Marge,” or Hops). Rehoming her is a difficult decision, but due to our upcoming move into a camper, we cannot provide the space and safety she needs to thrive.
Marjoram is a 3-4-year-old, indoor rabbit who lives comfortably on wood flooring in her own room. She has a small enclosure for times when she’s unsupervised, but she is not confined to a cage. She is litter-box trained, treat-motivated (or rather, she has us trained!), and easy to care for.
Her daily routine includes:
• Diet: Fresh alfalfa/timothy hay (a few handfuls), 1/4 cup of alfalfa-based nutrient pellets, and fresh water from a bowl (not a bottle).
• Care: Her litter box is lined with non-toxic animal bedding, changed weekly. She is brushed and has her nails trimmed quarterly.
• Personality: Marjoram has a fun, affectionate nature and enjoys being held. She has been indoors her whole life and does not enjoy outdoor environments.
Marjoram gets along well with our family, including our toddler who helps with her care. She coexists peacefully with our dogs but only when she’s safely in her enclosure, as we prefer to err on the side of caution regarding their prey instincts.
She would do best in a home that allows her to free range or move comfortably within an enclosure. An environment without cats or dogs that could have direct access to her would be ideal.
We are located in Central Oklahoma but are willing to meet for the right rehoming. Marjoram deserves a home where she can continue to be loved, cared for, and safe. If you’re able to provide her with the care and attention she needs, please let me know.
