I know from reading threads here that I'll need ivermectin. But where do I get it online and what kind?
Links would be greatly appreciated! These things are tiny and redish black. Slight feather loss and scaling on face area. Thank you!

Really? That's great news! Thank you! Do you know how much to give and is it still given orally to a goose? I really just don't want to make her sick because so far I can't find a vet that'll see a goose in my area.
And I'm on disability anyway, so money's tight right now.
I appreciate the info so much. I've rehabbed darn near everything but she's my first goose. Lol.

I thought it had to be this:

Welcome to BYC. How much does she weigh? The most you should give is 1 mg/kg, which is 0.024 ml per pound.

The paste is 1.87% ivermectin, which means one ml of the paste has 18.7 mg ivermectin in it.

The math:
pounds divided by 2.2, times 1, divided by 18.7 = number of ml to give.

Examples:
1 pound - 1 / 2.2 x 1 / 18.7 = 0.024 ml
5 pounds - 5 / 2.2 x 1 / 18.7 = 0.012 ml
10 pounds - 1 / 2.2 x 1 / 18.7 = 0.24 ml

Hope this helps.

You're awesome, thank you so much. Yes that helps very much. I'll weigh her again to be for sure because she feels like she recently gained. I'd say between 5-10.

I will visit here more often, I've read the posts for a year now but never joined. Lol. Y'all are so nice and informative! Have a good day.

Hello! I'm very confident that I have it right. But I just wanted to confer with you before I give her meds. Just in case! Since I can't get a 100% accurate weight on her wiggly butt, but I'm sure she's at least 5 lbs (per what the scale could read) and I think not over 10lbs. I'm just going to go with the 5lb dose.

My question!
I have a 30 unit syringe (0.3ml in the entire thing) Each line marks 0.01ml. Except the very 1st line. It marks empty. id give her to the 12th line in the picture to make 0.012ml, correct? Ty!
