Hi y'all, Today I got my first two eggs from 2 of my 22 hens. If you're interested in buying a couple I am trying to find homes for about 10 of them. They're very sweet, none of them have had any issues at all. I will deliver them or you can pick up of course. Any of you over 100 miles away, If you're interested in having them shipped I will do so, but you will need to pay in advance. I live in Grovetown, Georgia it is in the northwest corner of Augusta, Georgia essentially. If I deliver it is
$15 from 1-25 miles
$25 from 25-50 miles $50 from 50-75 miles
$75 from 75-100 miles
$35 each hen

Have a great day!!!

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that $35 may a bit expensive for a RIR hen, at least from what I have seen. I usually see them going for around $15-25. I don’t know what it is like in your area though so if you haven’t I would compare to what others in your area have gone for in the past. Either way good luck!

Thank you very much for the information. I am very new to all of this 🙏.
I came up with this price by comparing to Strombergs prices for RIR's. The shipping prices are quite high compared to my own within 100 mile radius. I couldn't even find a laying hen to buy from there, not one at the beginning of her laying years anyway.
Would you perhaps be able to provide links to a couple of sellers in my area? I've not yet figured out this platform's navigation just yet to be able to find RIR'S in and/or around my neck of the woods. Likewise I can't seem to find any on the internet either. I'd really appreciate it if you could share a few sources. Thank you again Logar. 🙏

So Strombergs is a well known, trusted source of poultry. Not to say you aren’t trustworthy but you aren’t a well known company that has been in business for decades. That is usually why trying to go off of individuals who are looking to rehome/sell some of their flock tends to be better.

I don’t have much time right now to look but I will try to within a couple days.

That's a very good point, I am no Strombergs. I will heed you advice and lower my price some. Thanks looking out for the new guy. It really is much appreciated.

Still available. We're looking for a Rhodie around 6 months to a year old. Ours needs a friend.
