I’m so excited! I got me another little blackie! I had another Maran egg hatch and it looks quite different though! The RIR colors are showing through and it almost has a purple tint to it! 😍😍😍

They are adorable!! :love Not sure if I missed this information in the other thread but how many are you expecting to hatch?
Well, lol, my one crazy hen deserted her clutch after killing one, so we decided to grow our flock because I lost a bunch not long ago and I incubated 20..(some yet to hatch…staggered clutch..) Ihave 14 teens, 12 adult hens and one adult rooster. So I’m almost to 40, and I will be done for this year…. However, I have 2 broody hens sitting on 1000 eggs! 😂😂😂 so who really knows haha! The roosters all but a couple will go! Haven’t heard any crowing yet from the teens so that’s a good sign. However there are a couple teens that I’m about 90 percent sure are Roos. The eggs I hatched came from leghorns, brahmas, RIR and a single black Maran.
