I have some 6 month old barred rock “pullets” but one of them is a little bit bigger than the rest and it’s mean to its siblings. when they were younger, they did get behind from my other young chickens because they got sick so they may be a little smaller for their age. Anyway, I doubt this chicken is a rooster because it hasn't even crowed yet or tried to crow and despite it being mean, he doesn't act like a rooster but I figured I'd ask anyway. Is it just a mean big hen? Or could it be a rooster? He or Shes comb is a little bit bigger than its siblings and more red but that's expected at 6 months old and in barred rocks. What do you guys think?

Bossy pullet. Looks like she’ll probably lay soon. Very cute!

@WingItRanch I didn’t know that about the single barring. What does double(?) male barring look like?
So instead of the barring being black, white, black, white, a cockerel with have double white. So it would be like black, white, white, black, white, white. The males will look overall much lighter-almost grey if you stand back. Hope that makes sense!
