Roof design for dog kennel runs

Hey all,

I'm looking for ideas for attaching PVC corrugated roof panels over top the run. My run is 6 foot chain link fencing w/ the standard 1 1/4 inch top rail. I'd rather not have a separate structure to support the roof. Trying to come up with a way to attach the 2x4 or 2x6 trusses across the 10 foot span on top of the pipe rail.

Those with roofs over their kennel runs, pics would be great!

I put a 12 ft 4x4 across the front, cut small blocks and screwed them to the 4x4, put 2x6x12 on top of them it gave me a 1ft overhang, screwed strapping on top and attached the roofing to the strapping, on the ends I secured it with 5ft long industrial strength zip ties, we use them at work very strong.

Ahhh, I just may have to borrow your design. What is the small blocks for, added head room? or to create your pitch? My run is 10x20 so I'd have to span the 2x's across the 10 foot span. Anyway you can take a couple close up pics of how you attached the roofing to the 2x's? Also did you do the same on the back side?

I used the blocks to give more pitch and the other ends just sit on top of the kennel, the blocks are screwed into the 4x4 and all got zip tied and the metal hurricane strap, it's strong I've had 18 inches of snow on top and it doesn't sag, when I get home i clean it off with the roof rake.
