Hi all, chicken newbie. I have several 6 week old barnyard chicks that I think are roos. Some of their combs have started turning red and some of them don’t have combs but that area is red. Ive read conflicting things online about barnyard mix so looking for confirmation from someone with more experience. Thanks in advance for your help! ☺️

The first two pictures are of the same bird, I assume. I think this one is probably a pullet, going be the even color pattern, but not 100% on it.

The next two pictures I'm also assuming are the same bird. The bird is barred with some gold in the hackles. This is a pullet.

The bearded black and white one is probably a cockerel, but not 100% sure on that as the comb isn't that big at this stage.

The brown one with the little crest is definitely a pullet.

The last one, which is black and white, has a very small comb. Despite that, I'm pretty certain it is a cockerel. Those silvery white feathers coming in at it's wings look to be the beginnings of male specific feathering.

That was really helpful, thank you!
