Rooster beanie

Hey chicken peeple,

I’ve been thinking about making cozy hats for my roosters combs for cold nights and wondering if anyone else has tried this and think it helped to prevent frost bite or just keep them more comfortable?

Ideas are either a knitted beanie or making a hat out of some old wool socks.

Probably wouldn’t stay on for daytime but thinking I could snug their comb up at night when they are up on their roost maybe.

They'd probably take it off immediately. Better to winterize the coop than knit clothes for your birds
