Hi all i'm trying to have meds etc on hand for emergencies, which one of these do you prefer or are they both the same Thank you!!

I keep both Rooster Booster Vitamins and Electrolytes with Lactobacillus and Poultry Nutri-Drench on hand. I use RB as a preventative, adding it to new hatchlings' water to get them off to a good start. The ND is used for more emergent situations, as it is designed to be assimilated quickly and provide energy rapidly. I also use ND for stargazing/wry neck situations and find that it usually corrects the issue within a few days of administering it by mouth several times a day.

Both are worth keeping in your first aid kit, IMO.

Thank you so much for the info trying to have all I need on hand for emergencies and will definetly take your advice.

Poultry Cell by RB has riboflavin (B2) for chick curled toes and leg issues, but other than that Poultry Cell and Poultry NutriDrench are identical. They have vitamins, electrolytes, and amino acids. Dosage is 1 ml for every 3 pounds of weight given orally.

Thank you so much so either one is fine to have.

A few times a day?
I've been providing 4.5 units in a needleless insulin syringe by beak once daily. A unit being 1/100ml. The chick weighs 62.5g today and is 16 days old.
ND label stated 1ML per 3lbs body weight.
453.59237g equal a pound. I divided my chick's weight by grams in a pound, and multiplied by dosage of 0.33 per lb.
I thought that was the maximum. She's been crooked since hatch and unfortunately it took me time to determine wryneck vs spraddle leg or another deficiency.
I was adding vitamin/electrolye mix to its water, and providing other supplements but after realizing the few drops of ND were not enough, I cut down the variety of uncalculated supplements (i.e. vitamin e drops, egg yolk, brewers yeast, wheat germ, spinach) since I got it into my head that it was likely cutting into the balanced feed she needed to consume. Now I measure out by weight, so I can't sprinkle more than a total of 10% spinach, wheat germ, and brewers yeast on Nutrena starter/grower feed.
I started weighing her daily and doing the math for ND to the beak since 4/15.
How much do you use with success to tackle wry neck?
