My neighbor has a rooster that has definitely been attacked by something. He is missing a lot of tail feathers. He is 8 years old. She noticed a problem when he didn't come out of the house one day (about 10 days ago). He had no balance and was falling forward. We put him in a dog crate in the yard to minimize his ability to move about, with food and water (vitamins added). He has gotten better in that he can stand now and walk VERY wobbly. Definitely can't defend himself or his girls if he was attacked again. However his foot is still swollen. No sign of bumble foot. We allow him to roam outside for 15-60 minutes a day to keep him socialized. He keeps "exercising" it by extending it and stretching it when he is outside. Should we be concerned that it is still swollen? He is eating and drinking great. He just can't put weight on his legs for any length of time. Anything else we should look at? or should do? Thanks.
