Runner duck bald patch?

My Runner duck Storm is 6 months old and I noticed this bald patch around her eyes and down her neck. She's the only one with the bald patch, my other girls and boys are fine. I have also noticed my ducks are molting their feathers, along with my chickens, which I suppose is down to it coming up to winter. I applied some leucillin antiseptic spray on Storms bald patches today, but I just wanted some advice on what it is. Is it just her molting, is it from mating with the drakes or is it something serious? I don't think it's mites as we regularly treat their coop and run for mites with sprays and powders. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You don't want to treat your coop too often unless there is an active infestation otherwise the pests can build up a resistance.
It looks kind of dry where the bald patch is. I wonder if its fungal similar to ringworm?

I do it maybe once a month or so? I haven't seen any mites lately, which is good. Other than the bald areas, she is completely healthy! She's eating, laying, quacking, etc normally. I have noticed her feathers seem a little less waterproof than normal?

If it is ringworm, would I be able to see the circular rash like we get as humans? How would I treat her for this? Is the spray I'm using any good for it? It does say 'skincare' on the bottle.

Might want to stop treating even that frequently unless there is an active infestation. What are you treating the coop with?
Generally, ducks aren't prone to pests if they have adequate water sources.
I didn't mean it is ringworm, just looks like it could be fungal - the example was like ring worm.
What spray are you using?
Does she perhaps have wet feather? Can you show a pic of her whole body?

I have a mite powder and a mite spray. I spray the coop down and then mix the powder in with their bedding.

The spray I own is an antiseptic skincare spray called leucillin. It contains something called Hypoclorous, which is apparently produced naturally by white blood cells.

I will try and get a full body picture of her for you to see what she's like when wet and dry.

I know that this may not be the best photo, but this was her after a nice swim session. I can't really tell if I'm just being an overly cautious duck mama or if it is a real cause for concern.

Except for the dry patch, she looks fine. If it were me, I might try the antiseptic skin spray that you have. See if it heals up. Then, if that doesn't work, maybe try an anti-fungal topical.
I would quit treating the coop for now though its overkill and like I said the pests could build resistance.

Ringworm is a PITA! A couple of years ago, I brought home a kitten that had it (unknowingly). It first showed up on my white Staffy, made him a vet appointment and got told it looked "funny" but they didn't think it was ringworm (took samples). A few days later, I was back at the vet with our other kitten...his ear tips were suddenly crusty and curling! Still didn't "look" like ringworm to the vet, but more samples were taken. In the meantime, I developed a few itchy, dry patches and went to my doctor. I was immediately diagnosed with ringworm (they took samples) and sent home with a prescription to take to get rid of it. Then, I called the vet to let them know I was diagnosed (ringworm is highly infectious and can jump from people to animals and back, but rough;y 50% of everything alive is "immune" to it). Both dog and cat samples "glowed" when they checked them, so they were put on the same prescription I was given. A week or so later, our other dog started showing up with what looked like hives, sure enough, ringworm.

In the end, both cats, both dogs, and myself all had ringworm while my husband and 2 children never showed symptoms at all! Lucky them for being in the "immune" group!

TL;DR I'd see if your vet is willing to take samples of the dry scaley bald patches to test for ringworm.

I'll keep using the spray and see how it goes. If nothing changes, I'll get the anti-fungal topical. I'll leave the coop be in regards to the mites too. Thank you so much for your help! I'll update the thread in a few days ☺️
