So I posted a different thread a few days ago because my white leghorn was sick and I was told I should give her some dewormer. I accidentally bought the pellet form of the SafeGuard instead of the liquid and am trying to figure out the dosage. By my calculations I should be feeding her 1 gram/day (approximately 1/4 tsp I think), does that sound right?

This has been asked before in the forum, I but it is not the right type of SafeGuard to give chickens. This one is 0.5% and goes into so much food for so many days. It is a low dose wormer. For chickens you need to get SafeGuard 10% fenbendazole in the liquid goat wormer or horse paste. Dosage is 0.23 ml per pound of weight given for 5 consecutive days. That will get all chicken worms except tapeworms which are rare, and require a wormer with praziquantel.

Ok thanks for the information. Is there a way I can still make it work by upping the dosage of pellets then? And yes I have a kitchen scale
