I've done a lot of looking around for a similar situation but it's hard to find a comparable example. My indoor-only pet rooster has some foot scales that are raised up as seen in the pictures. He never goes outside and doesn't have contact with other birds/animals. I always thought of scaly leg mites as being an outdoor thing. Is there another explanation for whats happening or should I treat it like scaly leg mites? It's mostly pronounced on the top/tip of the toe in different spots. It doesn't seem to bother him but they didn't used to look this way. His legs do not have any raised scales, this is isolated to his toes.
