I have 3 roosters that have a lot of scabs on their feet. 2 are 1.5 years old and the other is about 9 months old. The 2 older ones are a turken and a mutt. The younger one is a mutt too. A few months ago I noticed scabs on the turken, but they were small. I thought he had gotten hurt. They stayed the same, but have gotten worse the last few weeks. I had the younger roo in with him for a few weeks. Then, I moved him in with the other mutt (his dad) and the hens. They get along really well. I noticed right after I put the younger one in that he had the same scabs on both of his feet like the first roo. This morning I noticed that the other roo has some scabs on one of his feet. I could only get pictures of the turken and the younger mutt. Do you think it is scaly leg mites or an injury? If it is SCM how should I treat it? It's so cold now that water freezes in seconds. Yesterday I was only outside for a few minutes and one of my eyes got frozen shut. If I put anything on their legs it would freeze to them and do more harm than good.
