Recently bought this bird and have had her quarantined. I’ve noticed she has a chalky substance on her feather follicles and on her face. Is it mites? Or something else? I’ve included photos of her legs as well. When I got her I bathed, wormed and lice treated her, about two weeks ago. I also removed dried mucus from her nostrils that was clogged up. She does not breath rattly or noisily in anyway. Eating and drinking well, activate and has a decent amount of weight on her.

Did she have lice or mites? What did you treat her with?

It looks like she may have Favus which is a fungal disease. You can treat it with an anti-fungal cream like Clotrimazole. Wear gloves when applying the ointment/cream, it's possible it can spread to you. It is contagious to other birds, so I'd see if it clears up really well before even thinking of introducing this bird to an existing flock.

The mucous is a bit concerning too. I'd definitely continue with separation and observation. It's up to you to determine if she ever is fit to join your flock.
