I have a friend that orders from them and likes all that she gets and if they mess up her order (this last time) then they say they will make it right. She loves what was sent to her but it wasn't the colors she asked for. She has yet to get her replacements but it has only been about a month.
My family has bought all of our poultry from them ever since I was a young girl. They are about 10 minutes from my parents place. It is a family hatchery. The recent owner took over the business from her father and he was in the business ever since I can remember and I am 39 now. The facility is clean and well maintained. They have excellent stock and I have always had no problems with disease or raising them to adulthood. My children show them in the county fair and they always do very well. I would not hesitate at all about buying from this hatchery. Would highly recommend them!
I have not ordered from them, but I almost did. Their website is nice - simple, but has all the info you need, and they do have pictures of the birds (I hate those that don't!) I e-mailed them a question, and I promptly received a friendly reply.
Their prices are very cheap - the ducks are $3 ($4-5 at other hatcheries), and you can mix and match, with a $1 higher price per if you order less than 6 of each kind. The only cheaper price I've seen was at Ideal when they had a special - $2.25, but you had to get at least 20!
Chicks are cheap - $1.05 - $1.25 for Cornish Rocks, $2 for sex link pullets.
Shipping is reasonable. They have no minimum for breeds, so you could order 3 turkeys, 6 ducks, 20 chickens.
I ended up not ordering from them as I got several hatchery specials for very cheap and am a bit overwhelmed with chicks! But next year I hope to order a good amount of their runner ducks for eggs.
I really do like the fact that they are a family owned hatchery - I'd rather support that kind of business then a larger company.
