Hello everyone 🤗

I am interested in breeding for sex link pullets.

I am looking for 'fellow chicken peeps' to give me some clear ideas on breeds I can cross to create sex linked unique colored egg layers!

#1. I know I need a Barred Hen breed that lays a white egg? Is there such a thing?

OR use a Crested Cream Legbar hen (lays a blue egg)

Step #2: to get a...

Olive Green egg: use a Black Copper Marrans Rooster/ over cream Legbar hen?

Light blue egg: use a Blue Black Splash Ameraucana Rooster / over a ( _____ ) hen?

Light brown speckled egg: use a Welsummer Rooster / over a ( ______ ) hen?

I am ready for your ideas 💡 💕

Light blue egg: use a Blue Black Splash Ameraucana Rooster / over a barred ameraucana hen (Sandhill preservation center has them for sale on their website) or a CA Grey hen (they lay prolifically and are not as skittish as I've found leghorns to be)

Hollands are a barred bird that lay a white egg. Or California Grey. A cream Legbar would probably be more common though, to be honest.
