I have two 4 month old frizzle Cochin bantams. I am confident about the black one being a hen, but the blue One is really throwing me off. Both have very red comb and wattles (I think they’ll lay soon) but the blue one has very skinny feathers coming out of her tail which is confusing me. I have seen her tidbit (once a few months ago) but just recently I have seen one of my cockerels mount her and she squatted. They are both hatchery quality birds therefore they are poor quality. I had a two month old bantam Cochin cockerel I rehomed, but at two months it already had large developed comb and wattles and was crowing and trying to mount hens. This one does not display any of these behaviors.
, and is rather skittish and hen like in behavior. Let me know what you think.

I went back and looked (edited my original response) I think cockerel . I read that wrong thinking 6 months not 4. Those feathers do look saddle like, but I have the darnest time telling saddle and hackle feathers on a frizzle.
I feel good about the black one being a pullet as all of her tail body and neck feathers are very rounded, unlike the blue one

A better pic of my black pullet (hen on the left, mine on the right)
