Hey! Our two pekin ducks are right around 6 weeks old and we weren’t sure the gender! We think the more white/purple bill (Goose) is a female and the more yellow bill (Duck Duck) may be a drake but the tail is looking pretty flat. Any thoughts? They’re still shedding their baby feathers! Goose is honking more than quacking and Duck Duck is loud but hard to describe the quack!

The drake feather is the last sex indicator and won’t appear until after they’re fully feathered. I personally didn’t see them on my drakes until ~12-13 weeks.

If you could get a video of their voices, upload it somewhere else like YouTube, and then link it here, that would be great. You’re probably right with Goose being female, but I can’t say for Duck Duck.
A male duck voice at this point would be a raspy peep-peep sound.
