Someone gave me a 3 week old tuxedo quail and I need to know the gender of it ASAP, does anyone know how I can sex it or maybe you can tell the gender from the pic, I’m happy to send other pics if needed

Ok, wasn’t sure if there was an earlier way to tell the gender of my little NoahYou'll need to wait for it to mature at 6-8 weeks as this color can't be sexed by looks. Once mature you can 'vent sex' it - if it's a male, foam will come out when you push around the vent.
Its a tibetan tuxedo and I have a motherly female quail in with it until it’s old enough to join the ones outsidei agree to all previous posts. just curious, is he/she a pharaoh or tibetan tuxedo?

Male: the dark coloration on the cheeks is an indication. Male coturnix have lighter chests and more white.Someone gave me a 3 week old tuxedo quail and I need to know the gender of it ASAP, does anyone know how I can sex it or maybe you can tell the gender from the pic, I’m happy to send other pics if neededView attachment 1400805
