Hello everyone!

So recently I have been looking into showing sheep/lambs, and I have done some research, but I still have a couple of questions.

What facilities do I need for a sheep? (I can’t afford to spend a fortune on them :lau)

How do I exercise them? I have heard of people using a track and a dog, but I don’t have a track or a dog who would do that.

How much would a show sheep cost and where would be a good place to get one?

What sort of feed should I get and how much should I feed it? I have heard of all of these technical feeding plans, and I’m a little confused by some of them. So any simple terms would be great!! :lau

Thank you!!

I'm assuming you mean for 4H

Depends how badly you want to win. You could probably buy a wether for 75-125 and raise it amd just do your best a the show,
or you could spend 300+ on a good bloodline lamb and have a higher, bust still not guaranteed chance of winning.

We would take them on a walk for a few miles a day and have them jump over hay bales.

They need predator proof fencing and a shelter. At least a lean-to
