I know this might disturb some people but I need to compare to an egg that I'm suspicious of.
As of tomorrow, it will have been 1 week since incubation started. The rest of the eggs are looking great but there's this one that's really throwing me off so I would like to compare it to know if it's dead. I don't want to just assume it is and throw out a still thriving egg.
The chicken sitting on the small clutch just got back on them after taking a short break to get some water so I don't want to go and attempt to candle the egg if it disturbs her.

Thanks in advance for the photos!

I'm not sure what dead eggs look like but I recommend you look at this website

I looked through my phone and I don't have any week old pictures of dead eggs, but if you could maybe answer a few questions either me or others might be able to better help. A dead egg that started to develop at a week old would have originally shown veins that would start to recede upon death of the embryo. Also a small heartbeat should be present with minal, but usually a little visible movement. Things like blood/meat spots are never a good sign as well as the "ring of death" aka. blood rings which when candled you will see a dark red ring forming around the embryo. Cloudiness is often a sign of bacteria and if the egg is turning what appears to be black it is also a sign of decay.

-Do you have any pictures of the egg in question while being candled?
-Did it ever have veins?
-If so are they receding?
-Is there a blood ring around the embryo?
-Are there any meat/blood spots?

-Not yet for today.
-Yes. When I candled the eggs Monday night, they all looked normal. The photos I have from that night can be found here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/did-the-heat-do-this-hatching-eggs.1478882/
-I'm not completely sure. It's now a bit too dark to see inside.
