This thread we all can share, & show off how meaty our heritage chickens, or how well we butchered them.
Bagged, unbagged, & cooked are all welcome.
List the age of the birds as well please?

Here's a few of mine.

1yr old Project Chameleon Hen. She was tender.

2yr old Indian Malay Rooster. Can't say how he was since we haven't eaten him yet. Also I use bags that fit a 15lb turkey.

Not a great photo, but here’s an americana (EE) cockerel at ~15 weeks. Only about 3 pounds. First time butchering a chicken, much easier than a wild turkey that’s for sure! He tasted good and wasn’t awfully chewy.

Good looking bird.

Got 4 more chickens to butcher, 3 hens, & a rooster. Those one's will be pending.

Will be taking a picture of tomorrow's dinner though.

To go with first post.

3-4yr old Silkie X Blue Face Game hen cross. (Hen)
Was supposed to be yesterday's dinner.

She was edible. Not super tough, but also the best tasting chicken I've had in awhile.
