Hi! I have a 5 week old chick who is acting a bit lethargic. She is eating some. She had white watery poop this morning. She is also not opening her left eye. She was fine/normal when they went to bed last night.

History- they were moved out to a fenced off area inside my big flocks chicken run to start the integration process 3 days ago- so she is around new poop/bacteria (from what was on the ground, my big chickens are separated from the littles). Last night I added a small ladder so they could start roosting. It was her first night to roost so I’m thinking one of the other chickens pecked her eye?

Do I need to do anything for her eye or give it time?

Should I treat with Corid since she is lethargic? If so, what is the oral dose for just her as well as the gallon dose? I’d like to make sure she’s getting what she needs. I have the powder.

Thanks everyone!

Posted a picture of her closed/hurt eye versus her good eye.

This is the dosing for my older chickens but I’m not sure if it’s the same for chicks?

Corid 20% powder - Mix 1/2 teaspoon powder with 2 teaspoons water.
Give 0.34 ml per pound of body weight orally once or twice a day for 1-3 days.

Corid 20% powder- Mix 1.5tsp per gallon of water given for 5-7 days as only source of drinking water.
