@SandyRiverChick Can’t thank you enough for the continued responses and support. Also thank you @azygous @rosemarythyme @coach723 for the additional information and advice. I’m going to get on top of treatment immediately and hoping for the best. She has already been showing better signs but only time will tell.
I am just so sorry you're going through something this awful. I'd be so stressed and sad, I really feel for you. I don't know the first thing about Avian Flu. Are you able to consult with a vet? Do you know if there are other cases in your area. There are many threads on here, BYC if you do a forum search for Avian Flu, you're definitely not alone. It was so bad a few years ago. There is good advice out there. You really have done everything you can so don't be hard on yourself, this is definitely one of those situations we all fear. I sure hope things look up for you.@SandyRiverChick I think I may have determined what the issue is. The last pullet is still showing major signs of weakness/paralysis, and after doing some further research I think I determined that this is most likely a case of Avian Encephalomyelitis. After reading about its symptoms and watching videos of infected pullets, my sick pullet is pretty much identical to the one observed in the video. When reading the symptoms of AE, it almost felt as if I was reading off what my girls have been going through this whole ordeal. Unfortunately, and it really depresses me to admit it, I think I may have to euthanize my last sick girl. She has improved ever so slightly, but showing no signs of being able to walk again any time soon, which also means she still can’t eat/drink on her own. I want to have how for her, but her sister who survived recovered MUCH quicker and smoother. I think she’s just too far gone![]()
