I have 2 lavender orpingtons 3 weeks, one noted to have scans on back of wings, red irritated eyes, crusty nose and crusty dry skin patches on belly. See photos. No visible mites. Eating and drinking fine. Fast forward 2 days later looks slightly better but behavior punkish, eyes remain red and irritated with head starting to sit backwards. Photos of Orpington 1 ONLY! Any idea what is going on with my poor baby?
the 2nd Orpington suddenly started with jerking neck movements like wry neck no other symptoms. I will be treating her for wry neck.

Photos of brooder and heat source?

How is the ventilation in the brooder?

Could be respiratory illness. If the symptoms worsen then you can try treating with an antibiotic like Tylosin.

Hopefully your chick has responded to vitamin E and B1 therapy for Wry Neck by now.

Thank you they are both doing well with the above treatments. The brooder ventilation was good and they were also placed in fresh air over the weekend in the beautiful sunny 80’s weather and watched of course. they are lively, eating, chirping, playing. Her skin/feathers are much healthier looking as well. Thanks for responding.
