I went out this morning and my duckling was acting really sick, not moving much very tired and out of it, couldn’t walk, found he was all crusted underneath, we clean that area and he’s pooped a couple times but he seems to be getting worse still. What do I do?

The first objective with babies, is heat, you need to get him into a warm (90F watch for over heating) place, if he has friends you can move them near him, but just so as there not touching. Let him rest for a while, and update us on how he’s doing, and we’ll continue from there.

He was the only duckling that hatched this time. He didn’t make it though. He died about 20 minutes after I posted on here. Thank you for trying though.

Sorry to hear that.

But the others told me in this situation often glucose water can do some improvement, but depends on what's wrong.
