Well we moved our silkies into a new coop with wire floors, apparently our one roo doesnt like the wire floor, I thought he would get used to it. I am not sure if he was pecked by one f the hens there are 2, or if he was flopping around in there and hurt himself on the wire. I went to check on him and he was just laying there lifeless and his comb was all bloody. So i took him in and cleaned up the blood and he just layed there on my counter like he was in shock? I gave him some pedilyte with a syringe in case he was dehydrated, he would not drink from a bowl but gobbled up 3 syringe fulls seemed thirsty. I took him back to his favorite hen , in his old house it had shavings on the floor but he just laid in there with his face buried in shavings. So i decided to put him in a pet carrier in my brooder room to see if he perks up in a little while.
So question? Could he be in shock from getting worked up ? He has not had any signs of illness, he has been in new pen for 2 days and has hated it other silkies dont seem to care
