Signs a duck is being overmated?

Hi all, I have a duck who is hanging back from the rest and today she was even in another part of the pen altogether to the rest completely on her own (you know how ducks are joined at the hip usually!), I know she is my drakes favourite so I am separating them on and off-I have 4 females to 1 male but he picks on her the most. However I need to know if this is why she is hanging back from the rest or if she is sick? Do females stay away from the males if they are being overmated? She has a bit of a patch on the back of her neck from the mating but it is not too bad. I first noticed this behaviour months ago so I had them separated but recently put him back and it's become even more noticeable-she doesn't follow the rest when I let them free range now she stays on her own mostly. Basically I just need to know if it's more likely this is the problem or she is ill. Does anyone know if they will hang back from the rest like this? The irony is I had 2 female ducks and I got 3 more so they'd have more company!

In my experience I've never had a duck hide from males although the back of their necks get a little bare (I have a 2 to 7 (was 8) ratio)... it could very well be the case though. Is she eating, drinking, pooping normally?

It's from over mating..She possibly is not the dominant Hen either..When they have had enough of a Randy Drake they will stay out of the excitement..I have Calls and My Drake is liking the one Hen more than the other two..Poppy hides behind the Dog house when she has had enough..She follows the flock although from a distance..
As long as he isn't injuring her, she will be okay till after breeding season and her molt.

Most male poultry will over mate any hen that is easy. She sure could be hiding from the male. I would remove him to a separate pen and see if she improves after a few days without him.

@chickens really

Hi thanks I will move her again and see what happens. She is one of my older hens so I suppose that's why he's picking on her.

As far as I can tell she is eating and drinking and fine otherwise. It's just very noticeable when I let them out in the garden that she is not following the rest.

Ah ok very interesting. Poor Poppy, bless her. Thanks for the reassurance, as far as I can tell he's not injuring her she's just fed up I guess like yours can't blame them!

Yes..And some Hens can't help but flirt to the Drake..That's Poppy she head bobs and lays flat for him so he jumps her every time..Lol

All her feathers rumpled?
Seem tired all the time?
Sleep a lot, like she's always worn out?
Have an inordinate number of headaches?
