I bred my white and buff silkies to see what would come through because I’d like to get into breeding them soon. Anyway, they all are in the same pen right now so it’s possible my whites and buffs are crossing or staying with the and colored hens. Majority of my silkies are breeder quality but there’s a hen that’s not and while I don’t think I collected her eggs, it’s still possible.
All of this to say I have no idea what this chicks that hatched are. What do y’all think? Theres 3 chicks.
1. Has a very buff/ yellow head with stripes on its back and lighter tipped wings.
2. Is similar but the body is more silver looking.
3. Is either white or buff but has a few random black spots. I have two that hatched like that. In the future I’ll be separating my chickens more to get more true buffs and whites, this was kindve just an experiment. What do y’all think?

1. Looks like a black with buff leakage. I've heard people describe these are "buff dipped black" basically the front is buff and that transitions to black over the body.
2. Could be a blue with buff leakage.
3. Given the very strong golden color, I'm thinking buff, probably black tailed buff. I'm not sure what the black spots mean.

Thank you! I guess time will tell for sure. One rooster is a buff with black tail feathers so that adds up
