Silkie rooster looks awful

My silkie rooster has been acting weird, like he has lice. I checked him and found mites/lice, but then i discovered that his EYE was completely swollen and purple. it is discharging a puslike fluid and is huge. his nostrils are swollen as well. Please help!

Does he have a foul odor about his head?

What you describe could be Coryza which will be treated with antibiotics and a manual removal of the accumulated pus.

i have just discovered that the issue is his nose. It is blocked up really badly and is causing his eye to swell.

I think it is just a stuffy nose that got extremely infected and spread to his eye although 'just' might be too loose a word poor girl

But are they clogged from a respiratory infection or from feed that got stuck?

Still waiting on the pictures to see how bad the problem is.

I think the issue is similar to a respiratory problem, but I don't know. I tried extracting the blockage, and that revealed a gross yellowish substance. I will keep trying to send the picture.

Poor guy... I got up this morning and his other eye is swollen shut. He is now completely blind and lethargic. Nothing we do seems to help. I think we are going to have to cull him.
