Hi all, I was really looking at my SLW this morning and noticed her comb is a lot redder and broader than the others. Having had a look through LOTS of forum posts about this breed I still can't make up my mind. Her feathers seem more pullety to me, but I would love some more expert eyes to give their opinions!

I should add, they were all sexed by a professional but I realise it's not 100%. I'm not the slightest bit worried about the others.

What age should I expect to see saddle feathers? She/he has none... I looked at the neck feathers but I don't know what I'm looking for, they looked round to me. I might take him/her to the breeder and check. I'm really devastated at the thought of a rooster, I adore that chicken :(.

I thinks she's a hen. All four of our 5 week olds already have tiny waddles and I doubt that hatchery mis-sexed all of them. I have noticed that our GLW and SLW combs look bigger in pictures because they are flat and wide and start off red.

You are a tiny ray of hope ;). I will keep an eye on him/her, and will update when we know for sure what we've got.

If I remember correctly, I posted about our SLW around 10-12 weeks because I was concerned about how red she'd was. Lola's definitely a girlie!
