What breed is this? I got this hen from a friend. She was the lone survivor in a raccoon attack that killed the rest of the flock. She’s small - from my research I think she’s a Silver Dutch Bantam or a Silver Phoenix. How can I tell? Or does she look like something else? Hasn’t laid any eggs yet - she’s been through it. Owner said they are whiteish, but she also didn’t know the breed.

One thing that really helped me identify my mystery hen was seeing which of the suspected breeds not only had the matching feather pattern but other random traits, such as earlobe color, comb type, body shape, feet color, and (as you mentioned) egg color.

She is a hatchery quality silver leghorn. If you look up hatcheries a lot of their stock pictured hens have pale legs instead of the yellow. This was from McMurray’s website you can see their quality is well hatchery with pale legs.

She’s about 3.25lbs, if that makes a difference in identifying her breed!
That's much too large for a Dutch bantam. They and Phoenix should have slate blue legs, and Leghorns should have yellow legs, or at least yellow skin. But I'm going to assume it is a hatchery silver Leghorn, as stated above. I'd be interested to know if there is any yellow coloring on the undersides of her feet.
