Long story and some commentary. This is a weird one, at least for me.

I have hatched eggs about a dozen times succesfully, four with my Brinsea Maxi 24 Advanced with this being my fifth. This last batch we had a problem with the incubator, and power outages. The turning motor stopped working. I also had a temperature alarm although there was no great temperature disparity (Brinsea ID'd that as the source of the alarm). Brinsea folks were very helpful and walked me through adjusting the alarm. Fixed.

Shortly after that, I realized the turning motor wasn't turning, just beeping. They sent me a new motor, as a courtesy because they said I had not registered my purchase within 30 days and wouldn't honor the 3 year warranty they advertise. Kinda stinks, they shipped the unit to me directly. But wait, there's more.

I did a quick swap of the motor by connecting the wires outside the dome housing. That works. Total time uncovered was under 5 minutes. I was turning the eggs manually by rotating the tray one position 5 to 7 times each day. I could have waited on the chicken eggs but risked a weird hatching schedule, so off we go to manual turn land (just like the chickens do). Now everything is turning, no alarms and bam! Power outages!! See below timeline.

05 May -- Turkey Eggs x 3 placed in unit (eta hatch date 6/2)
07 May -- Brinsea temperature alarm. Resolved by adjusting range in unit.
08 May -- Brinsea motor not turning. Turning eggs manually.
12 May -- Chicken Eggs placed in unit (eta hatch 6/2). Turning manually 5 to 7 times a day.
14 May -- Brinsea motor replaced (my delay). Motor now working.
17 May -- Power outage #1, estimated 7 hours down overnight.
20 May -- Candled eggs. One turkey never developed. Gone. All others show signgs of growth.
27 May -- Power outage #2, big storm, power down for approx 20 hours. Kept temp up with hor water bottles and connected to inverter in my truck.
28 May -- Candled Eggs. Turkey 1 looks bad, vascularity is muddy. Turkey 2 seems okay. Two chicken eggs are done. Remainder seem alright.
31 May -- Moving tray out of unit for lockdown. Candled while placing hatching pad. Turkey 1 has floaters, done. Turkey 2 looks like not much has developed. Chickens are moving, vascularity is clean. HERE'S THE BIG THING -- They look like they need another week before hatching. There's a lot of clear space. I can see the chick outline, feathers, and motion but they look like they're at 12 to 15 days.

Is this even possible? I am at a total loss on how to proceed. Keep them turning or wait and see? I'm going to guess we will have a total failure. Maybe? Maybe not?

Has anyone experienced something like this?
