there are various battery/electric coop doors in the market. No smoke detector to work with said coop doors to allow the chickens to get away from the fire event, from the coop door manufacture. Why is that?
To date I have found one detector with a out put contacts that will open the door. It is 115 Volts AC powered with battery back up that will operate the relay on battery power.
My search is for battery power only. I may have to hard wire coop for 115 volts AC power.

Not sure of any commercial units but I have a temperature and humidity sensor in the coop connected to the Chicken Coop Brain (Raspberry Pi 3). Didn't think about opening the door if the temperature got too high at night.

I believe ther are sensors for smoke and/gas that could be set up with a RPi. It could be done with a battery, but running a RPi with solar battery would be a few hundred in panels and battery set up. Depending on the distance, running AC power might be cheaper.

If there isn't power to the coop running a heat lamp or something. I would wonder what might cause a fire? It's not a bad idea. I suppose the door opener could short out.

I know from personal experiences that smoke detectors do not like dust…

Might be a concern inside a coop.

I can accept false alarms from dust. I have taken smoke detectors out of service when dry wall people were working in a space/room
