Sneezing Black Orpington

1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.)
4 Years Old, Black Orpington, Normal Weight

2) What is the behavior, exactly.
Sneezing and acting as if something is in her throat

3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms?
Once or twice last night, but has been sneezing a lot more as of this morning.

4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms?
No

5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.
No

6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.
We don't know what's caused this.

7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.
She has been eating less over the last few days and drinking a lot more water

8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.
As she has drunk so much water, her poop is incredibly runny and at times she has only expelled water

9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?
We have given her a small amount of Tumeric, but nothing else besides that.

10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet?
Avian vet is not an option for us, so we hope to treat her the best we can at home.

11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.

A covered run connected to a chicken coop floored with hemp bedding.

Can you have a look into her beak and throat for any yellow or white material or mucus? Check her crop to feel if it is empty or full, firm or puffy in early morning. She doesn't appear to have any of these symptoms

She doesn't appear to be doing this either

Can you have a look into her beak and throat for any yellow or white material or mucus?
Upon inspection, I cannot see any form of mucus

Her crop does feel empty when she wakes up, but it seems as though the poop she expels during the night is entirely liquid. When she wakes up she eats a small amount of feed and then drinks a large amount of water. So she seems a bit slower today and more lethargic- due to the lower food intake.

I am not sure why she is drinking so much water, as the weather recently hasn't been hot, just stormy.

It is true that drinking more water will increase the liquid in her droppings. You could offer some plain Greek yogurt about a 1/2 ounce mixed with chicken feed for probiotics. Cottage cheese or a little cooked rice may also firm up her droppings. For a short time offering some tuna, ground meat, or canned cat food may get her eating. Also worming with Valbazen or SafeGuard may help if worms are a problem.
