So how many chickens will fit in this? 4x8, over 6 ft tall

It does depend a bit on climate. Long winters, with snow,I’d only stick 4 in there.

But warmer climates, chickens only sleep in the coop with decent area to be outside, and you could certainly fit more.

Some chickens don’t play well with others, so less is better. Often, you can get a flock that gets along pretty well, no bullies, and your flock can be bigger.

Ah yes, we live in southeast Texas, so winters are.. pretty much summer still lol. But we plan to install a fan in there at the least

Exactly. I live in CA. My chickens only sleep in their coop. They have a big ol' covered run for rainy/snowy days.
 
Looking good. Rule of thumb is 4sqf per bird of unobstructed floor space, more is better. Where about are you located?
What I'm not seeing is 24-7-365 ventilation. Ventilation is extremely important for the birds health. You should have 1sqf of ventilation for each bird. Ventilation should be well above their heads when they are on roost.
