We are having a deluge of heavy rains, my three grown hens are soaked to the bone, they are busy keeping the new pullets in the corner of the run, which is fine cause the pullets are under a cover.. but I decided to go ahead and put my three hens in their coop to get them out of the rain and dry out.. is this okay to do this? They are not happy but they have water and their daily ferment feed with them .. or should I let them back out? Thanks for all comments!

If they're a standard feather breed they should be fine getting wet from what I've heard. It's the frizzy feathered ones like Silkies that have issues, but it likely won't hurt to pen them up if you're concerned.

my three grown hens are soaked to the bone,
Really...to the bone?
Did you stick your hand under the feathers near the skin?

Fiirst time mine got 'soaked' I was concerned, but when I checked near skin level they are dry under there.

It’s a matter of speech! But they did look like three drowned rats! This too is a matter of speech 🤣
