Hi all,
I have a 4 month old Serama hen that started acting off last night. I didn't realize something was actually wrong until this afternoon though. She has some pretty classic sour crop signs (large squishy crop, yellow liquid discharge from mouth - it doesn't smell though - I hope that's because I caught this early), so I separated her and immediately gave her some anti-fungal I had (I only had 1% clotrimazole, but I'm going to pick up some miconazole for her since that seems to be recommended more).
My question is, how much should I give a little Serama? When I gave her the clotrimazole earlier I erred on the side of caution and only gave her a pea sized amount. Is that enough? I don't have a weight on her currently, but I suspect she is around 1lb or less. Definitely not a micro, but not a big bird either.
