Speckled Sussex and Welbar. Hen or Roo?!

I have two 5 week old! First 3 pictures are the Welbar and last 3 are the speckled Sussex. I’m not familiar with either breed and am stumped. Sussex legs seem thick and he/she comes at your hand to peck it. But I’m hopeful!? Both were sold as pullets.

The Welbar is definitely a pullet.
She has the female pattern.

Wonderful! Thank you! That’s kinda what I was thinking but wasn’t sure what a young Roo would look like.

Both appear to be pullets. Your second chick is a RIR, not a SS.

Oh no, the hatchery may have gotten me.
If you look at the tip of the wing area there is definitely some spots. Still could RIR? I was wondering if the coloring was because it’s a roo so wasn’t growing in as many speckled feathers?

Ya it's not a SS. Male or female would have a lot more white. That white on wings is just juvenile pattern. It'll go away.
Sussex would also have white legs not yellow.

No, they're typically a reddish color.

That’s kinda what I thought. It was very much chipmunk pattern. But I definitely see why yall say RIR after I googled images. Even more stumped now!
