Hi everyone,
I recently picked up a few hens that were already laying, and it turns out they were exposed to a rooster, because before we knew it, two little chicks hatched (Feb. 7th and 9th)! We know these chicks belong to our silkie hen (see her picture below). Their feathers seem to flare out, and each chick's feather pattern is a bit different.
I’m curious about what breed the mysterious rooster might be. Do you have any insights on which rooster breeds might produce chicks with these characteristics? Any observations or speculations would be greatly appreciated!
