Our Lavender Silkie named Spiky Mikey

Even though he doesn't like to be picked up, he sure does love to follow me around the yard. Unfortunately the older chicks don't like him so he can't really bond with them and we can't put him in with the older flock as they will kill him.
I bought him on Nov. 17th and he did come with 3 female chicks but they didn't make it. Small Fry had died from being accidentally sat on by the others, Sleepy was just too weak, and Frenchy was taken by a hawk.
He's currently 9 weeks old.
He started crowing at 5 weeks old!! Isn't that crazy?
It started 2 days after I got him.
I can't wait until he's old enough to join the older flock and become their protector.
