Splash Marans egg colour

Does anyone know what colour eggs to expect from a Splash Marans? I picked up a 7 month old last week (not particularly for egg colour) and she's just laid her first egg for me. I thought it would be light brown but it's lighter than my hybrids egg - pictured. She doesn't really look like a splash to me though can really only see white feathers unless the darker splashes come with age?? Don't mind at all just curious as to what other splash owners get eggwise. Attached a pic of her. She is white just grubby atm

The place I'm getting mine in May get theirs from their blue copper flock, so they lay the nice rich brown just like their blues do

I'm inclined to agree. She's a tiny sweet thing though will be nice to see what she matures into

Hello all,
I have the same question, we got two "splash Marans" from a breeder. Sadly our first (dark black) died of something that looked like mareks last year and the second one has taken quite a while to lay. She is very gentle and bottom of the pecking order. She's quite large, white with some black splashes. Her eggs are smaller and lighter (I'd say more peachy yellow in colour) than our rescue chickens and our arauacunas (pictured here together for comparison.

We love her to bits (her name is Beatrix) but wondered if she is not actually a splash maran, or if she is but might always lay light eggs. It would be good to know which her eggs are too to monitor her health etc. Could it be that these paler eggs are actually another rescue hens who is trailing off and in fact hers are the larger/darker ones?

She does look quite like my 'Splash Marans' so maybe mine is one after all! I've only ever had light cream eggs from her like the bottom left in your pic...

I have had BCM, blue copper maran, white maran, cuckoo marans, and a splash maran.
The Cuckoo maran and the splash had the lighter colored eggs.

My RSL Hybrids lay very Dark eggs, almost like Marans. I am breeding towards full chocolate colors in a few years.
