Anyone do stained glass? I'm looking for a chicken pattern, one that can also be used as free form. If you quilt, and have a quilted pattern I can use, it works well after remarking the stitching allowances.

Would this be any help? I'm not sure what you are asking for......I also have a wall hanging that is quilted with chickens if a picture of that would helpful.

Wow! This is awesome! But no, it won't work (darn it!!!). Thank you anyway! Love this....

Think of it this way, stained glass needs to be cut either by straight or clean lines, or curved, then all put together kind of like a puzzle or quilt. Simple childrens coloring pages work well in translating. Need to Flux, copper, lead all together. What I'd like to do is find a fairly simple design and be able to copy it with other like types in different colors. Traditional to hang in a windown and different sized ones that are more like a chicken without backdrops to make the whole thing look square, rectange, round or whatever to stake up outside would be fun - yard artwork. I have a few friends whom raise chickens and think that these would be unexpected as Christmas gifts. I've done other projects, and make a lot of personalized crosses too, jewelry boxes, night lights, but want to try this.

I was looking for a stained glass chicken pattern myself not to long ago. I came across this page and I really like the second "stained glass" rooster. I have been deciding if doing another window is something that I really want to get into right at the moment. It does need to have some of the solder lines revamped if you do not have a glass saw but that really should be easy enough. Good luck with your project.
