Would y’all say he is a starlight green egger? We got 3 chicks from tractor supply labeled starlight green eggers and these are what we ended up with. Both of the girls lay a brown egg which I know sometimes happens. Rooster in the first 2 pics and his girls in the others. If they aren’t what I think any ideas what he could be? I have some of his babies in the incubator right now and would love to get an idea. Thanks!

The rooster and the hen without a crest could be SGEs or red sex links. The crested hen is definitely not a sex link, so I'd say she has to be some type of 'egger' like SGE.

We do get a lot of posts from people who get colored layer hybrids which end up laying white or brown eggs. I think partly it's just genetics that cause that, but the hatcheries could be contributing with poor selection of breeding parents, especially if they're using second or third generation crosses.

He does seem to have a slight crest.
