Good morning yall, weve got 2 adolescent African geese that are 2.5 months old. Mazuri doesnt have a grower feed? Only starter or maintenece, which is for mature birds.

Ordered some Maintenence kind, wasnt sure what to get... Seeing about moving to this brand for awhile because one of them showing leg issues despite being fed niacin suppliments WITH a waterfowl feed that has 65 mg/lb of niacin... Weve been feeding them New Country Organics.

Agreed. Also I am not a fan at all of New Country Organics waterfowl feed. I dealt with a lot of niacin deficiencies with that brand of feed until I switched brands and haven’t had issues since. I don’t know if it’s their niacin source or their analysis is wrong, but my ducks currently are on a 55mg niacin feed and doing so much better.

You might want to try putting him on a B vitamin complex and then supplementing their feed with nutritional yeast, niacin deficiency is a common cause of leg issues but sometimes it isn’t just niacin, it can be one of the other Bs.

well they also have breeder. i think that just has added calcium, not sure. but i feed mazuri maintenance and put shells on the side for calcium.
you can maybe mix together some starter and maintenance if you want. little by little switch them over gradually.
