You *could* but it is not a very good value. It is a very small amount of straw priced at more than a much larger compressed bale of straw from a feed store.

That's pricey. I use pine shavings, $5.99 for 5.5 cubic foot at TSC.

I am a Walmart associate if you look in their pet department they may carry pine shavings at a far price. My store does. Good luck!
