Hello all! This is my first post here so hopefully this the the right place to post this and everything. Anyways we have a 7 month old orpington mix who I believe is stunted, the first picture of her was taken at the beginning of January and the second was taken the 15th, her comb has reddened significantly and she's gotten bigger definitely. My concern is her quality of life, does stunting cause any problems? Like will her organs be affected or anything? Lately she's been pooping out these chunks of pus or tissues which I think are broken up pieces of egg maybe? I don't have any pictures, but they're soft and usually light yellow in color, sometimes accompanied by a little blood. I have plans to take her to the vet but I'm wondering if her stunted growth has caused reproductive issues for her. I've also noticed she has been going through a small molt and that her feathers seem of poor quality though I think that's mostly due to her being sick back in December. I'd like to add that she's a little monster! In a good way. She's always hungry and eats well, even if getting her on a just feed diet after being spoiled rotten with treats when she was sick has been a challenge. She lives inside most of the time due to her being picked on by the other chickens, but she goes outside almost daily in a small run so she can still see the other chickens but they can't hurt her.

What is her usual diet? Has she ever been treated in case of worms or coccidiosis? Those can be causes of stunting as well as genetics. Could you share pictures of any unusual poops? There have been some threads over the years here about chicks who had failure to thrive. Since she may have a reproductive disorder now, it could shorten her life.

She eats the tractor supply brand of layer feed now. She was treated for coccidiosis when she was young, and then dewormed when she was sick in December, and that definitely could've caused it, I believe it also may have been caused by a poor diet since she had access to layer feed too young (I was away from home while all this was happening unfortunately). I'll see if she has any more of the unusual poops and take a picture of I can. Is there anything that I can do for her if she does have a reproductive disorder?

You could try a round of antibiotics possibly, but it may or may not help. Amoxicillin which can be hard to obtain without a vet full strength is commonly used, and some use enrofloxacin, a better one which is not approved for chickens in the US. It is banned for chickens, although it can treat E.coli and other bacteria. Egg withdrawal time would be longer, perhaps a month. It is not studied much in chickens, since it was banned years ago due to emerging antibiotic resistance in treating campylobacter, a common type of food poisoning from eating undercooked chicken. You can get it here in the 10% liquid or the more economical tablet:

I can give dosage if you decide to use it.

Here is some info about the 10% enrofloxacin dosage:
https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/enrofloxacin-dosage.1187174/
Dosage is 10 mg per kilogram (each 2.2 pounds) twice a day for 5 days. The tablet form is 100 mg. Do you know her weight?
This seems like something I can absolutely do for her! She only weighs about 2 pounds, but I can take her weight again today to see if she's maintaining. Thank you so much btw I really appreciate the reply and help!

Let us know how she gets along.
She is 2.1 lbs! I'd also like to add she seems totally fine aside from the odd poops, her tail is up and she very alert and energetic. Here is the poop btw, usually she has a runny poop, then one like this, and then one that's all the chunks. She has runny poops quite often (probably because she had a high protein diet up until recently)
