Hello everyone,
So I posted a previous thread about one of my chickens with a prolapsed vent. Since I’m new at this I didn’t think what I was doing for her was working so I took her to get looked at by a vet. The vet gave me some medication for her since she has a lot of inflammation and some tearing of her oviduct. Now, I’ve had her in a carrier since Tuesday night and have kept her in the dark so she won’t lay any eggs. I feel bad and want to put her out in the portable run for a little bit but I don’t want to chance her laying an egg. Will she be okay for like an hour or so? I want her to be able to walk around for a little bit and forage in the grass. I’m still going to keep her away from the other chickens so they don’t peck at her butt.
Thanks- Leah
